While in law school, Powers was also a member of the Moot Court Board and was a regional quarterfinalist in the American Constitution Society Moot Court Competition at Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts.
In July 2015, Powers completed the July session of the National Criminal Defense College (NCDC) Trial Practice Institute. NCDC Trial Practice Institute is a rigorous two week training session in Macon, Georgia which is limited to only ninety-six criminal defense lawyers from around the United States. The program sharpens all trial-related skills with the help of nationally recognized faculty.
Powers is a member of the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Greenville Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She has been an associate with Price Law Firm, P.A., since 2011.
